Earth Observation by Remote Sensing and Climate Analysis

The research concerns the development of algorithms and applications (e.g. mitigations of volcanic hazards, ice formation, climate monitoring, etc.) for the retrieval of surface and atmospheric parameters from remotely sensed images in the visible, infrared and microwave bands. Analysis of surface and atmospheric fields in order to understand the causes of the observed climate change (changes in mean climate, variability, frequency and intensity of extreme events) are also considered.
